Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx tribal strategy built around The Ur-Sphinx, leveraging its command-zone Eminence ability to discount the tribe's high casting costs. The early game establishes acceleration through 2-mana artifacts and cost reducers like Urza's Incubator and Herald's Horn, transitioning into robust midrange engines like Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign, Raffine, Scheming Seer, and Consecrated Sphinx by Turn 4. The deck controls the tempo of the table with efficient removal, countermagic, and pillowfort enchantments such as Ghostly Prison and Propaganda. By Turn 6, it converts massive card advantage into a lethal aerial clock, deploying heavy hitters like Magister Sphinx, Tivit, Seller of Secrets, and The Ur-Sphinx to steal spells and eliminate opponents across two combat rounds. Supported by Teferi's Protection and Fierce Guardianship, the deck boasts strong resilience against opposing sweepers and removal.
