Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Mono-Black Reanimator and Aristocrats strategy that leverages graveyard recursion, sacrifice synergies, and heavy creature attrition to dominate the table. The primary plan uses early graveyard enablers like Buried Alive and Vile Entomber to place high-impact threats such as Archon of Cruelty, Grave Titan, or Massacre Wurm into the graveyard, followed by low-cost reanimation spells like Reanimate and Animate Dead on Turn 4. Critical onset occurs on Turn 5 as combat and entry triggers force resource loss across the table. Asymmetric sacrifice engines powered by Grave Pact and Sothera, the Supervoid keep opposing boards clear, while aristocrat drain effects from Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat whittle down life totals before a final finish on Turn 7 via mass reanimation. The deck is vulnerable to targeted graveyard hate and noncreature combo decks.
