Format: Commander

Commander: Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Wilhelt leads a Zombie aristocrats deck that grinds value and wins through drain or swarm. Wilhelt turns every non-decayed Zombie death into a decayed 2/2 and draws cards when you sacrifice a Zombie, so you sacrifice freely. The primary plan uses sacrifice outlets and death triggers (Vengeful Dead, Plague Belcher, Diregraf Captain, Gray Merchant) to drain opponents while you rebuild with recursion. Rooftop Storm acts as a hidden commander that enables free Zombie casts and infinite loops with Gravecrawler, Mikaeus, and altars. Secondary paths win through combat with a wide board, flying from Wonder, or lock with Grave Pact and Braids. Wilhelt has one face; the deck uses that face for draw and tokens.
