Deck overview

This monoblack deck uses Mari, the Killing Quill to turn targeted removal into substantial card advantage and mana acceleration. In the early game, the deck establishes evasive Assassins, Mercenaries, and Rogues alongside efficient kill spells. Whenever opposing creatures die, Mari exiles them with hit counters. Attacking outlaws harvest these counters to draw cards and generate pairs of Treasure tokens. The deck converts this steady accumulation of mana and cards into overwhelming late-game plays, using asymmetric attrition cards like Dictate of Erebos and Court of Ambition to deplete opposing boards.
