Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Dimir combo strategy built around the companion restriction of Gyruda, Doom of Depths. By including exclusively even converted mana cost cards, the deck guarantees access to Gyruda in every game while packing 17 distinct clone creatures like Flesh Duplicate, Phantasmal Image, Spark Double, and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces. On Turn 5, the deck casts Gyruda, milling four cards from every player and reanimating a clone to copy Gyruda. This triggers a self-sustaining chain that mills the majority of the library in a single turn. The sequence culminates in reanimating Thassa's Oracle directly from the graveyard to secure an instant victory. If Gyruda is countered or interrupted, the commander Uldaros Theorix acts as a resilient backup engine, recasting exiled copies of key combo pieces and spells from the graveyard for free to restart the chain.
