Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Voltron-Reanimator build centered on Squall, SeeD Mercenary. The strategy leverages Squall's ability to gain double strike when attacking alone, allowing his combat damage trigger to fire twice in a single combat step. Through this engine, the deck repeatedly recurs utility permanents with mana value 3 or less directly from the graveyard to the battlefield without paying mana. By continuously looping sacrifice creatures like Plaguecrafter and Accursed Marauder, the deck systematically strips opposing boards of blockers and key threats. Meanwhile, stax elements such as Rule of Law and Deafening Silence throttle opposing spell velocity while Squall advances his board presence for free through combat. Massive equipment like Blackblade Reforged and Nettlecyst, paired with unblockable tools like Spirit Mantle, scale Squall into a lethal commander threat capable of eliminating opponents across consecutive turns while robust protective permanents shield the board.
