Deck overview

This deck is an Esper stax and control list piloted by Sen Triplets. Its primary strategy is to severely restrict opposing game actions starting on Turn 3 using layered asymmetric tax and denial pieces, including Archon of Emeria, Ashiok, Dream Render, Narset, Parter of Veils, and Grand Arbiter Augustin IV. On Turn 6, the deck seeks to establish a decisive spell lock by resolving Knowledge Pool alongside Lavinia, Azorius Renegade or Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, which prevents opponents from resolving any spells cast from their hands. While the deck possesses format-ceiling proactive denial and a dense suite of efficient countermagic and removal, it lacks a dedicated fast combo or explosive damage outlet. Consequently, closing the game requires slowly chipping through 120 opponent life using stax creatures, Thopter Assembly, or stolen cards from Sen Triplets.
