Tidus Combat- No Infinite Combos by ChuckDimmaDome

Format: Commander

Commander: Tidus, Yuna's Guardian

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Tidus, Yuna's Guardian leads a Bant +1/+1 counters deck that wins through combat, not infinite combos. The deck stacks counter doublers - Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, Pir, Lae'zel, Kami of Whispered Hopes, Innkeeper's Talent, and Ozolith, the Shattered Spire - then uses Tidus at the start of combat to move a counter and triggers Cheer when counter creatures deal combat damage to draw a card and proliferate. Scurry Oak and Basking Broodscale turn each counter into tokens, while Toothy, Selvala, and Kutzil provide extra cards and mana. Tidus is the main draw and proliferate engine; Pir with Toothy acts as the hidden commander for doubling and card advantage when Tidus is unavailable.
