Deck overview

This is a Simic sea-monster ramp deck helmed by Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle. The early game is land ramp and mana dorks to get Arix down as a two-mana land that taps for {G}{U}. From there, the deck casts a critical mass of Krakens, Leviathans, and Serpents, uses landfall engines like Tatyova, Benthic Druid and Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait to keep the hand full, and clears boards asymmetrically with Whelming Wave and Slinn Voda, the Rising Deep. The primary win is combat: Serpent of Yawning Depths and Stormtide Leviathan make sea monsters nearly unblockable, Spawning Kraken and Koma, World-Eater snowball tokens, and Overwhelming Stampede or Return of the Wildspeaker turns a big board lethal. Arix itself eventually sheds its slumber counters and joins as a 12/12 finisher. This is a mid-speed value-combat deck: few tutors, no fast combo finish, and a game plan centered on overwhelming board presence.
