Deck overview

This mono-green aggressive deck revolves around Shroofus Sproutsire, converting combat damage into a rapidly compounding army of 1/1 green Saproling tokens. The strategy uses low-cost pump spells, Auras, and +1/+1 counter enablers to enlarge Shroofus before declaring attacks. Because Shroofus has built-in trample, buffing its power ensures excess combat damage punches through opposing blockers, immediately creating an equivalent swarm of Saprolings. Once a wide token board is established, the deck transitions into lethal combat via team-wide buffs like Overrun, Overcome, and Sporecrown Thallid. The mana base relies on a steady foundation of 38 basic Forests backed by straightforward ramp creatures. While the deck boasts high explosive power and redundancy among combat tricks, it operates with minimal interaction, lacks creature tutors, and remains inherently vulnerable to board wipes. Defensive combat tricks provide spot protection, but recovering from repeated board destruction requires rebuilding the token engine from scratch.
