Deck overview

This is a Grixis reanimator-control deck built around Sauron, the Dark Lord and the Ring tempts mechanic. The early game is devoted to filling the graveyard with looting and selection spells (Faithless Looting, Careful Study, Frantic Search, Consider) plus the two graveyard tutors Entomb and Buried Alive, then cheating out haymakers like Archon of Cruelty, Vilis, Broker of Blood, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Ancient Brass Dragon with cheap reanimation. Sauron is the command-zone engine: every opponent spell amasses an Orc Army, and whenever the Ring tempts you he lets you discard your hand to draw four, refueling while feeding discard payoffs like Bone Miser and Archfiend of Ifnir. The deck closes via mass reanimation (Living Death, Rise of the Dark Realms), a hasted, evasive reanimated board with Anger and Wonder, a compact Dualcaster Mage + Twinflame infinite, or a hasted alpha strike with In the Darkness Bind Them.
