Yawnmoth I'm sleepy (Yawgmoth, Thran Physician) by user2444362

Format: Commander

Commander: Yawgmoth, Thran Physician

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black sacrifice/combo deck is helmed by Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, leveraging his ability to sacrifice creatures for card draw and place -1/-1 counters to trigger powerful synergies. The primary game plan revolves around establishing a sacrifice engine, generating value through undying creatures and Nest of Scarabs, and assembling infinite loops to drain the entire table. The deck deploys multiple two-card or three-card combo lines: Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond for infinite life drain; Gravecrawler + Pitiless Plunderer + Warren Soultrader for infinite treasure and death triggers; and Yawgmoth + Nest of Scarabs + an undying creature to draw the deck and kill with Blood Artist effects. Bolas's Citadel and Aetherflux Reservoir serve as a secondary engine to chain spells for massive life gain. The strategy is proactive, aiming to assemble a combo by turn 6-7 while using Yawgmoth's draw ability to find missing pieces.
