Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Dimir control and attrition strategy centered on Toxrill, the Corrosive. It utilizes early-game mana rocks, targeted counterspells, and efficient board wipes to control the tempo of the table. Once Toxrill lands on Turn 6, it immediately exerts immense pressure by distributing slime counters at every player's end step. This shrinks opposing creatures, clears blockers, and generates a massive army of 1/1 black Slug tokens. The deck converts these tokens into overwhelming card advantage using Toxrill's activated ability or Skullclamp, and transforms creature deaths into lethal life drain through aristocrat payoffs like Blood Artist, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and The Meathook Massacre. Alternate engines such as Maha, Its Feathers Night and Sludge Monster provide redundant creature lockouts, while Bolas's Citadel offers explosive mid-to-late game storm turns. The deck excels at grinding out creature-based strategies through relentless, compounding resource disparity.
