Deck overview

This Mazzy, Truesword Paladin deck is a hybrid Enchantress/Goad/Voltron strategy that leverages a dense aura package to generate value, manipulate combat, and eventually close out games. The commander's first ability gives enchanted creatures +2/+0 and trample when attacking opponents, making your own auras buff your threats. Her second ability exiles auras that hit the graveyard and lets you recast them until your next turn, enabling a *sacrifice-and-recast* loop with cards like Briar Shield and Carapace alongside sacrifice outlets like Auratog and Faith Healer. The deck also runs a heavy goad subtheme-Martial Impetus, Shiny Impetus, The Sound of Drums-to force opponents' creatures to attack each other, while you accumulate value from enchantress draw engines (Sythis, Harvest's Hand, Enchantress's Presence, Setessan Champion). Primary win conditions include commander damage via Mazzy, token swarms from Sigil of the Empty Throne and Archon of Sun's Grace, and incremental damage from Pain for All and Ordeal of Purphoros. The deck is not fast, but it grinds out incremental advantage and can eventually overwhelm opponents through card advantage and combat manipulation.
