Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-green stompy list led by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The game plan accelerates mana on turns 1 and 2 to cast undercosted, high-power beaters like Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Regal Imperiosaur on turns 2 and 3. By achieving 10 or more total power on the board, Ghalta's casting cost drops to just {G}{G}, enabling a turn 4 commander deployment. The deck leverages power-based card draw engines such as Elemental Bond, Garruk's Uprising, and Rishkar's Expertise to maintain hand size. Win conditions rely on overwhelming trampling combat damage amplified by Overwhelming Stampede, Unnatural Growth, and Surrak and Goreclaw. While the deck features explosive stat generation and swift board recovery thanks to oversized standalone threats like Gigantosaurus and Tangleweave Armor, its reliance on combat and low density of stack interaction leaves it susceptible to well-timed board wipes.
