Hail Hydra by user7151726

Format: Commander

Commander: Polukranos Reborn // Polukranos, Engine of Ruin

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Polukranos Reborn leads a Selesnya Hydra stompy strategy that blends big-mana threats with aristocrats-style recursion. While the front face offers an aggressive early body, the deck revolves around paying seven mana to transform the commander into Polukranos, Engine of Ruin. Once transformed, every dying nontoken Hydra splits into two 3/3 Phyrexian Hydra tokens. The deck exploits the low printed mana value of X-cost Hydras in the graveyard, reanimating them with mass recursion spells like Raise the Past. These creatures enter and immediately die, generating an enormous token army that finishes opponents through combat boosted by token doublers and trample enablers.
