Deck overview

This Dimir deck leverages Rona, Herald of Invasion as a dual-threat engine. In the early game, Rona acts as a consistent looter to sculpt the hand and deposit massive creatures into the graveyard. On Turn 5, paying 5 mana and 2 life transforms her into Rona, Tolarian Obliterator. By targeting Rona with repeatable pingers like Prodigal Sorcerer, Cuombajj Witches, or Hermetic Study, the deck triggers her ability to exile random cards from hand and cast game-ending spells like Breach the Multiverse, Time Stretch, and Toxrill, the Corrosive without paying their mana costs. Supported by a robust reanimation package including Reanimate and Animate Dead, the deck maintains strong resilience even if Rona is answered, transitioning smoothly into a classic Dimir control and reanimation beatdown plan.
