Wide Zappin by Sump

Format: Commander

Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari token-and-aristocrats deck helmed by Witherbloom, the Balancer, built around flooding the board with cheap token creatures and converting that mass into card advantage, life-drain reach, and massive X-spell finishers. The commander's affinity for creatures discounts both itself and every instant and sorcery in the deck, making a wide board a mana engine in its own right. The deck wins primarily through table-wide drain triggers from Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Mirkwood Bats when tokens die, stormed-out token generation from Chatterstorm and Hunting Pack, and big X payoffs like Exsanguinate, Tendrils of Agony, and Gelatinous Genesis. Chatterfang, Squirrel General supercharges every token created, while Tendershoot Dryad and Moldervine Reclamation grind out sustained value. It is a classic midrange value pile that wins by overwhelming the table with sheer board presence and drain.
