Deck overview

This is a Selesnya Bears tribal deck helmed by Kudo, King Among Bears, whose ability sets all other creatures' base power and toughness to 2/2 and makes them Bears in addition to their other types. The primary game plan is to deploy a wide board of bear creatures (many of which are 2/2 naturally) and then pump them with an extensive anthem suite-including Coat of Arms, Door of Destinies, Mirari's Wake, and Cathars' Crusade-to turn a swarm of 2/2s into an overwhelming combat force. The deck finishes with explosive effects like Craterhoof Behemoth or Finale of Devastation for X=10+, granting trample and massive power boosts. Secondary value comes from Aura Shards for repeated removal, Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar to protect your turn, and Sylvan Library / The Great Henge for sustained card advantage. The commander is a cheap lord that also shrinks opposing creatures, but the deck can function without him thanks to the 12+ bear creatures and 12+ anthem effects that do the heavy lifting.
