Deck overview

This deck is a focused Dimir Zombie Aristocrats strategy commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. It aims to build an early board of resilient Zombie creatures, convert dying nontoken creatures into decayed tokens, and cycle resources through steady card draw. The midgame focuses on accumulating incremental value using aristocrat drain pieces like Plague Belcher and Vengeful Dead, while utilizing versatile reanimation from Rot Hulk, Victimize, and Gisa and Geralf to maintain continuous board pressure. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide combat attacks boosted by tribal lords like Undead Warchief or explosive life loss via Gray Merchant of Asphodel and The Scarab God. A compact suite of low-cost removal and counterspells provides protection against critical opposing threats.
