Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity 5-color kindred combo-engine piloted by Q, Your Illustrious Host. The strategy focuses on rapidly developing a wide board of low-cost Faeries and mana fixers through premier accelerators like Bloom Tender, Chrome Mox, and Bitterblossom. Once Q enters the battlefield on Turn 4, every trio of untapped Faeries activates Q's pseudo-cascade ability to cast nonland spells directly from exile at zero mana cost. The deck reaches critical onset on Turn 5 by finding Intruder Alarm, which untaps all creatures whenever a creature spell enters. This generates explosive chaining sequences that cycle through spells, pinging the table with Impact Tremors and Obyra, Dreaming Duelist or forging an insurmountable flying army with Jean-Luc, Mon Capitaine. High-efficiency free protection spells like Fierce Guardianship and Deflecting Swat safeguard the board while closing out the game by Turn 6.
