Equipped To Save The Planet by Tlaw92

Format: Commander

Commander: Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER is a Naya equipment/voltron deck whose primary plan is to attach a 7-power enabler such as Wrecking Ball Arm or Hero's Blade, attack with haste to draw cards and make Treasure, then close with repeated commander damage through extra combat effects. The secondary path uses Sephiroth as a 7/5 anthem/recursion, Cloud, Midgar Mercenary and Gilgamesh as equipment tutors, and Puresteel Paladin to make equip costs zero. There is no hidden commander; Cloud, Midgar Mercenary acts as a second Cloud-style engine in the 99. Protection comes from hexproof/indestructible equipment and instant phase-outs. Hellkite Tyrant provides an incidental artifact-control alternate win condition.
