Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Shorikai, Genesis Engine is an Azorius artifact-control commander who turns mana and a tap into card advantage and crew bodies. The deck's primary plan is to develop cheap mana rocks, dig with Shorikai's ability, and then assemble Isochron Scepter plus Dramatic Reversal. Once the Scepter loop is running, Blind Obedience's extort triggers drain every opponent while the copies untap the board; Codex Shredder and Tezzeret the Seeker are clean alternate outlets. Hullbreaker Horror is a secondary threat, tutorable off a Pilot via Polymorph or Proteus Staff, and locks up the late game. The deck protects itself with nineteen counterspells and a stax package while keeping a very low mana curve.
