Deck overview

This deck is a Temur token swarm strategy centered on Xyris, the Writhing Storm. The primary game plan is to accelerate mana into a Turn 4 or 5 Xyris, attack an open opponent to trigger symmetric card draw, and create a swarm of 1/1 Snake creature tokens. The massive influx of fresh cards fuels continuous board development, while enchantments like Shared Animosity, Impact Tremors, and Doubling Season convert Snake tokens into lethal table-wide damage. Secondary threats like Etali, Primal Storm, Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, and Krenko, Mob Boss provide alternative paths to victory if the commander is removed. Efficient spot removal and countermagic protect key spells and disrupt opposing threats, while haste enablers like Rising of the Day and Anger accelerate the combat clock.
