Format: Commander

Commander: Avatar Aang // Aang, Master of Elements

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

The deck is an Avatar Aang transform engine. The front face draws cards from every waterbend, earthbend, firebend, and airbend, then flips into Aang, Master of Elements, whose {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} reduction makes spells nearly free. The primary kill is Searing Touch with buyback, cast repeatedly for {0} on the back face. Secondary paths are Coalition Victory with Leyline of the Guildpact, and a slower grind of upkeep flips that drain each opponent, draw four, and grow Aang. The commander is both the engine and the payoff, so the deck uses tutors to assemble the four-bend trigger package and the buyback spell.
