Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius aggro-control strategy centered around Denzilore Fatehold. The game plan establishes early evasive creatures and mana rocks on Turns 1 through 3, then utilizes Denzilore's flash ability to deploy the commander safely before untapping. Every scry and surveil effect—from lands and 1-drop creatures to cantrips and attack triggers—distributes +1/+1 counters across the entire board. High-impact cards like Cryptic Annelid trigger three separate scry instances, instantly granting three counters to each creature. The deck leverages its growing aerial army to apply mounting pressure while maintaining card flow through Matoya, Archon Elder, Ray Fillet, Wave Warrior, and Biorganic Carapace. Asymmetric sweepers such as Wave Goodbye and Damning Verdict clear opposing boards without touching your modified creatures, enabling decisive lethal combat swings around Turn 8.
