Commander: Zaxara, the Exemplary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Zaxara, the Exemplary turns every {X} spell into a growing Hydra army while providing two colored mana each tap. The deck leans heavily into that engine: cheap ramp accelerates to Zaxara, then X-cost spells create huge tokens and draw cards. The cleanest finish is to attach Freed from the Real or Pemmin's Aura to Zaxara (or another mana dork) to generate infinite colored mana, then spend it on Walking Ballista or Exsanguinate. A backup beatdown plan uses Herald of Secret Streams, trample from Garruk's Uprising or Kodama of the West Tree, and repeated X-hydra casts. Unbound Flourishing doubles the value of X effects and copies key spells, making even non-infinite draws explosive.
