Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck is a four-color Superfriends control strategy focused on planeswalker value and counter proliferation. The deck spends early turns developing its four-color mana base and establishing defensive stax pieces like Blind Obedience and Thalia, Heretic Cathar to stifle opposing combat aggression. On turn 4, it deploys Atraxa as an imposing 4/4 lifelink and deathtouch blocker. It follows on turn 5 with value-generating planeswalkers like Tamiyo, Field Researcher, Vraska, Betrayal's Sting, and Elspeth, Sun's Champion. Atraxa's end-step proliferation rapidly ticks loyalty counters toward ultimate thresholds while scaling +1/+1 counters and poison counters. The deck maintains control using versatile spot removal, efficient counterspells, and flexible sweepers like Merciless Eviction. Victory is achieved by resolving game-ending planeswalker emblems, swarming the board with large Angel and Kraken tokens, or accumulating lethal poison counters across the table.
