Deck overview

This Boros deck combines Dwarf kindred synergies with Equipment scaling led by Dwalin, Weaponmaster. The game plan deploys cheap Equipment early, casts Dwalin on curve, and attacks to stack hone counters across all controlled Equipment, permanently increasing their power bonus. As the board develops, legendary Dwarves like Dáin Ironfoot, Bifur, Melodic Rider, and Balin, Loremaster turn high-power attackers into lethal threats through double strike, doubled triggers, and direct burn. The deck achieves Storied thresholds quickly using its density of artifacts and legendary permanents, unlocking defensive taxes and combat keywords. While the strategy generates relentless combat pressure and recovers well from creature sweepers due to resilient Equipment counters, it relies primarily on combat damage to eliminate opponents one by one. The deck runs solid targeted removal to clear opposing threats but lacks countermagic, making early momentum and efficient equip sequencing vital to victory.
