Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Mardu token aggro-aristocrats strategy led by Zurgo Stormrender. The primary game plan deploys aggressive token generators such as Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon alongside Zurgo. When attacking creature tokens leave the battlefield during combat or through sacrifice outlets, Zurgo converts them into fresh cards. At end of combat or during the end step, surviving temporary tokens sacrifice themselves to drain each opponent for 1 life. The deck leverages heavy-hitting burn and drain payoffs like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Commissar Severina Raine, and Mirkwood Bats to amplify every token created and sacrificed. A dense suite of free and low-cost protection spells, including Flawless Maneuver, Deflecting Swat, and Selfless Spirit, safeguards attacking boards against sweepers and removal. The deck finishes games on Turn 6 by overwhelming opponent life totals through unavoidable drain triggers and unblockable combat alpha strikes backed by Akroma's Will.
