Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue tempo and skies list led by The Lord of the Eagles. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap, evasive flying creatures and token generators during the early turns to build aerial board presence and reduce the commander's casting cost. Once a stable flying foundation is established, the deck transitions into recurring card advantage through combat engines like Bident of Thassa and Curiosity Crafter. Flashing in The Lord of the Eagles on an opponent's end step creates an immediate 8/8 evasive threat that demands an answer while keeping mana open for countermagic. The deck shields its board state using low-cost interaction like Mana Drain, Counterspell, and Commander's Plate. Asymmetric combat modifiers such as Gravitational Shift and Archetype of Imagination widen the damage disparity, allowing the deck to close out the game through coordinated aerial combat across consecutive turn cycles.
