Commander: Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic leads a Dimir clone and theft strategy designed to turn opponents' best threats against them. The deck deploys versatile shapeshifters such as Spark Double, Phyrexian Metamorph, and Auton Soldier to duplicate key value engines and massive beaters across the table. Taskmaster provides repeatable flexibility every turn by copying any creature on the battlefield or in a graveyard. You secure victory by compounding these duplicated threats with game-ending copy spells like a kicked Rite of Replication, Helm of the Host, and Impostor Syndrome, while protecting your board with efficient interaction including Fierce Guardianship, Deadly Rollick, and Cyclonic Rift.
