Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Spellslinger Combo strategy built around Codie, Ravenous Codex and the Prepare mechanic. The primary goal is assembling Displacer Kitten alongside dual-faced Prepare creatures that enter the battlefield prepared, such as Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song. Whenever you cast a prepared noncreature spell, Displacer Kitten blinks the creature, immediately resetting its prepared state. Resolving the copied spell yields net mana, massive card draw, or unconditional tutoring. This loop generates infinite mana and storm count, enabling same-turn table kills with outlets like Guttersnipe, Fiery Inscription, Coruscation Mage, or Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate. Backup plans leverage Jeskai Ascendancy and Chakram Retriever to untap mana dorks and Codie on every spell cast. While the deck boasts explosive Turn 4 speed and high card velocity, it relies heavily on creature permanents on board and runs no proactive stax to hinder opponents.
