Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counter midrange engine commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The strategy revolves around weaponizing -1/-1 counters, wither, and blight mechanics to generate overwhelming card advantage, suppress opposing boards, and build massive armies. In the early turns, dense two-mana ramp accelerates the commander and key enablers like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs onto the battlefield. Once assembled, every counter placed on friendly creatures draws cards through Auntie Ool, while counters on opposing creatures whittle down enemy life totals. Mid-game threats like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Carnifex Demon, and Kulrath Knight convert counter placement into one-sided board wipes and total combat locks. The deck closes out games by overrunning defenseless opponents with deathtouch snake and insect tokens, recurring life drain via Obelisk Spider, or burn damage from All Will Be One. While vulnerable to mass enchantment or creature exile, the deck possesses immense grind potential and sustained attrition.
