Deck overview

This build is a focused Mardu Vampire tribal deck helmed by Edgar Markov, leveraging his eminence ability to generate a token army with every Vampire spell cast. The primary game plan is to deploy a critical mass of low-curve Vampires, apply pressure through lords and anthem effects, and pivot into a compact infinite-life-loss combo built around Exquisite Blood and one of several "opponents lose life when you gain life" permanents (Sanguine Bond, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Defiant Bloodlord, Enduring Tenacity, Bloodthirsty Conqueror). The token swarm both enables the combo by providing lifelink attackers and acts as a secondary combat win condition with drain effects like Sanctum Seeker. Recursion from Queen's Bay Paladin and Luminous Broodmoth keeps the engine running, while a small tutor package and strong draw spells (Necrodominance, Champion of Dusk) smooth assembly. The deck is a classic high-synergy tribal-combo hybrid that can win quickly once the two-piece enchantment loop resolves, but lacks the stack density to fight through heavy interaction.
