Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Bird tribal aggro and combat-value deck led by Kastral, the Windcrested. The primary game plan establishes early aerial board presence with low-cost flying creatures such as Battlefield Raptor, Healer's Hawk, and Watcher of the Spheres. Casting Kastral allows every connecting Bird to trigger modal payoffs: drawing extra cards, placing +1/+1 counters across all Birds, or reanimating fallen avian threats directly onto the battlefield. As the aerial swarm expands, tribal lords including Empyrean Eagle, Kangee, Sky Warden, and Steel-Plume Marshal, alongside static anthems like Gravitational Shift and Murmuration, turn modest 1/1 fliers into a lethal air force. The deck sustains its card advantage through coastal piracy enchantments like Bident of Thassa and Kindred Discovery. Disruptive Birds like Aven Mindcensor and Aven Interrupter hinder opposing game plans, while Dawn's Truce, Perch Protection, and Sephara, Sky's Blade shield the flock from sweepers on the path to combat victory.
