Archelos, destroyer of fast by user8796599

Format: Commander

Commander: Archelos, Lagoon Mystic

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Archelos, Lagoon Mystic leads a turbo-combo land deck. The primary win is Demonic Consultation + Thassa's Oracle, aided by a dense tutor and fast-mana package. A backup infinite landfall loop (Retreat to Coralhelm + Sakura-Tribe Scout/Walking Atlas + a bounce land) feeds Tireless Provisioner, Lotus Cobra, Tatyova, or Scute Swarm. Archelos doubles as a toggle: untapped he lets your lands and combo permanents enter untapped; tapped (via Retreat or attacks) he forces opponents' permanents to enter tapped. The Gitrog Monster is a hidden-commander-quality value engine, while stax pieces like Narset, Stasis, and Static Orb provide control. The deck is fast, redundant, and resilient, with free interaction to protect its all-in lines.
