Commander: Lazav, the Multifarious

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Lazav, the Multifarious leads a Dimir self-mill/toolbox deck. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard with combo pieces and reanimate them: Laboratory Maniac plus Leveler is the cleanest kill, with Doomed Necromancer and Lively Dirge assembling both in one turn. Lazav's copy ability provides a flexible second layer: he can become an unblockable creature, then transform into Phage the Untouchable during combat to eliminate a player. Mirror-Mad Phantasm and Necrotic Ooze form a backup self-mill engine. The deck is not a fast all-in combo; it uses wheels, looting, and tutors to find its two-card finish while interacting heavily on the stack.
