Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Izzet Spellslinger deck centered on Otters and magecraft synergies led by Alania, Divergent Storm. The primary plan accelerates into Alania on turns 4 to 5, leveraging her copy ability to double high-impact instants and sorceries like card draw, rituals, and extra turns. From there, the deck transitions into explosive storm turns powered by Stormsplitter, Bria, Riptide Rogue, and Veyran, Voice of Duality, turning low-cost spells into towering prowess buffs, wide token boards, and pervasive noncombat burn via Coruscation Mage and Sorcerer Class. While vulnerable to wipe effects and lacking hard tutors, the deck compensates with extreme card draw velocity from Archmage Emeritus and flexible interaction like Three Steps Ahead and Force of Negation to force through decisive combat or burn finishes.
