Deck overview

This Golgari deck is led by Blech, Loafing Pest, turning lifegain triggers into permanent +1/+1 counters across specific creature types: Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. The strategy focuses on flooding the battlefield with creature tokens through cards like Pest Infestation, Turn Stones, and Beledros Witherbloom. Once tokens are in play, continuous lifegain from sources like Bogwater Lumaret and Fountain of Renewal rapidly grows the team into a formidable attacking force. In addition to combat pressure, the deck incorporates a potent aristocrats drain package featuring Dina, Soul Steeper, Starscape Cleric, and South Wind Avatar. This dual-threat structure ensures that opponents take damage whether your creatures connect in combat or die in sacrifice loops. While weak to well-timed board sweepers, the deck leverages deep card draw and reanimation to rebuild and finish games effectively.
