Format: Commander

Commander: Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER leads a Naya Equipment-combat deck that wants to put a massive Sword or Hammer on a hasty creature and convert combat damage into cards, Treasures, and extra combat phases until the whole table dies in a single turn. The 99 contains a second, hidden "Cloud" - Cloud, Midgar Mercenary - that tutors an Equipment and doubles all attached-Equipment triggers, acting as a back-up engine in the command-zone-adjacent role. Early turns are about Stoneforge Mystic, Steelshaper's Gift, and Open the Armory finding the right tool; then the commander attacks immediately thanks to haste, drawing per equipped attacker and making Treasures at power 7+. The primary finisher is an Aggravated Assault loop powered by Sword of Feast and Famine or The Reaver Cleaver, with Genji Glove, Godo, Bandit Warlord, and Tifa, Martial Artist providing extra-combat redundancy. Vincent, Vengeful Atoner and Sephiroth, Fallen Hero supply alternate routes to table-wide damage.
