storm war by user1491547

Format: Commander

Commander: Wort, the Raidmother

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Gruul spellslinger/storm deck built entirely around Wort, the Raidmother's conspire ability. The plan is to establish a wide token board so every red or green instant and sorcery can be copied for two mana, then use that copying to turn ritual spells, storm spells, and pinger damage into an explosive one-turn kill. Wort, the Raidmother creates two Goblin tokens on entry, giving her own engine its first fuel, and the deck accelerates from there with Empty the Warrens, Chatterstorm, and Hunting Pack to keep conspire fodder flowing. The primary win is a storm turn where Battle Hymn and Mana Geyser generate huge mana, Guttersnipe/Firebrand Archer/Electrostatic Field drain the table with every copied spell, and a conspired Hurricane or Jaya's Immolating Inferno closes the game. Secondary paths include a pumped combat kill via Overwhelming Stampede/Surge to Victory and the hidden-commander potential of Zada, Hedron Grinder and Rionya, Fire Dancer.
