Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai X-spell midrange and combo deck commanded by Zaxara, the Exemplary. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana in the first two turns, deploying Zaxara on Turn 3, and leveraging its dual mana production to cast powerful scalable spells while generating massive Hydra tokens for board presence. The deck wins either by chaining infinite mana with Auras such as Freed from the Real and Pemmin's Aura to channel into lethal drains like Torment of Hailfire and Exsanguinate, or by overwhelming opponents with colossal trampling Hydras backed by cards like Garruk's Uprising and Kalonian Hydra. A dense suite of low-cost countermagic and flexible removal protects the engine and disrupts opposing threats, though the deck must balance holding open interaction against tapping out for massive sorcery-speed haymakers.
