Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck centers on Eris, Roar of the Storm, converting spell velocity and graveyard diversity into a dominant flying token army. Early turns focus on cycling high-cost spells such as Boon of the Wish-Giver and Magma Opus while casting efficient cantrips to load the graveyard with distinct mana values. This allows Eris to enter on Turn 4 for as little as two mana. Once Eris is established, casting two spells each turn creates 4/4 flying prowess Dragon tokens. Prowess triggers and combat enhancers like Balmor, Battlemage Captain and Surge to Victory quickly close the game through airborne combat damage. The list also includes an infinite burn combo with Ral, Storm Conduit and Expansion // Explosion. Low-cost counterspells and efficient removal provide protection and interaction while keeping the deck's own spell velocity high.
