Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages the toxic and infect mechanics alongside proliferate synergies to eliminate all three opponents via ten poison counters. In the early turns, low-cost creatures like Bilious Skulldweller and Bloated Contaminator establish initial poison counters across the table while conventional ramp builds toward larger mana thresholds. The midgame introduces compounding engines such as Evolution Sage, Contaminant Grafter, and Glistening Sphere to steadily increment counters. The primary endgame revolves around casting Agent Frank Horrigan, whose double-proliferate triggers upon entering the battlefield and attacking rapidly accelerate the entire table to lethal poison counts. Supported by heavy hitters like Tyrranax Rex and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, the deck maintains resilience through high redundancy, independent backup threats, and targeted interaction. While it lacks fast combo finishes and stack-based countermagic, its focused attrition clock and unremovable poison counters create inevitable late-game pressure.
