Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck executes a dedicated poison and proliferate midrange strategy. The primary game plan applies early poison counters to opponents using low-cost creatures with toxic or infect, such as Glistener Elf, Venerated Rotpriest, and Plague Stinger, or global noncombat spells like Ichor Rats and Prologue to Phyresis. Once poison counters are established, the deck transitions into a compounding proliferation engine led by Atraxa from the command zone, amplified by cards like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Evolution Sage, and Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres. By advancing poison counters on all opponents simultaneously during each end step and land drop, the deck bypasses traditional 40-life totals entirely. The list includes solid 2-mana ramp, versatile removal, and resilient token producers like Phyrexian Swarmlord and Vishgraz, the Doomhive to contest the board while the poison clock steadily closes the game across three response cycles.
