Format: Commander

Commander: Don Andres, the Renegade

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Don Andres, the Renegade leads a Grixis theft-value deck that wins by stealing opponents' permanents and turning them into buffed Pirate attackers. Don Andres gives every stolen creature +2/+2, menace, deathtouch and Pirate typing, and creates two tapped Treasures whenever you cast a noncreature spell you don't own. The deck packs dense exile-to-play engines - Brainstealer Dragon, Arvinox, Etali, Hostage Taker and Ashiok planeswalkers - to generate card advantage while denying opponents resources. Secondary paths use Pirate synergies (Admiral Beckett Brass, Breeches) and finishers like Akroma's Memorial. With no infinite combo, victory comes from grinding value and closing with multiple buffed stolen threats in combat.
