Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black reanimator and life-drain engine led by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. K'rrik provides explosive mana velocity by allowing you to pay 2 life instead of each black mana symbol in casting and activation costs. The primary strategy ramps into K'rrik on Turn 3 or 4, uses life-subsidized tutors and card draw to fill the graveyard, and reanimates high-impact threats like Archon of Cruelty, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Sheoldred, Whispering One. Once these pieces enter the battlefield, the deck creates severe asymmetric pressure through continuous edict effects from Grave Pact and Dictate of Erebos, repeatedly clearing opposing creatures. Life totals are quickly replenished through Gary triggers and K'rrik's lifelink, fueling card draw engines like Greed and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. The deck steadily drains all three opponents to zero life around Turn 7 using repeated reanimation loops, heavy devotion, and big-mana spells.
