Zaxara 'X' by user8701296

Format: Commander

Commander: Zaxara, the Exemplary

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Sultai X-matters value deck built around Zaxara, the Exemplary. Primary plan: deploy Zaxara, then chain X-cost spells to create enormous Hydra tokens while drawing and ramping; counter/token doublers such as Doubling Season, Corpsejack Menace, and Unbound Flourishing turn those into lethal combat damage. Secondary path: a compact infinite-mana loop with Freed from the Real on Zaxara (or Selvala, Heart of the Wilds) into Exsanguinate or Villainous Wealth. There is no hidden double-faced commander; Zaxara is the main engine, providing both ramp and token production. Without it, the deck still operates as a big-mana hydra deck, but loses speed.
