Deck overview

This deck is a Bant +1/+1 counters midrange deck led by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. It focuses on curving out early mana acceleration into counter-generating creatures and enchantments, using Tidus's Cheer ability to draw cards and proliferate each turn. By steadily scaling threats with cards like Brokers Ascendancy, Kalonian Hydra, and Ozolith, the Shattered Spire, the deck builds an overpowering board of large creatures. Pillowfort and combat-deterrent elements such as Nils, Discipline Enforcer, Orzhov Advokist, and Mirri, Weatherlight Duelist discourage opponents from attacking, directing aggression elsewhere while the deck prepares its finishing attacks. Protection spells like Inspiring Call, Silkguard, and Ripples of Potential safeguard the board against removal. The deck finishes games through massive trampling or flying combat swings, closing out the table across consecutive combat steps by Turn 8.
